Conservative Party Conference - Birmingham

The Eye Health Alliance is Vice Chair of the Health Hotel, a collaborative venture which puts on a series of health related events at each party conference. This year the Eye Health Alliance has teamed up with Macmillan Cancer Support and Breast Cancer Care for their fringe event, which will takes place Monday 29 September, 8.00 - 9.15, Dolce Room, Hyatt Hotel.

This debate entitled, 'Quality or quantity? How can the Conservatives improve patient outcomes?', will focus on the key challenges facing people living with long term conditions, including the patient experience, financial support, employment issues, as well as screening and information services. Speakers include; Anne Milton MP, Shadow Mininster for Health, Professor Nick Bosanquet, Professor of Health Policy, Imperial College and Veronica Morgan-Pottinger, local cancer survivor.

Additionally, the Eye Health Alliance will be exhibiting with the Health Hotel in the Health Zone in the main exhibition hall Sunday 28 September 10.30 - 17.30, Monday 29 September - Tuesday 30 September 9.00 - 18.00 and Wednesday 1 October 8.45 - 15.30, where delegates will have the opportunity to get a free retina photo and learn more about the importance of eye health.
